It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the second opening feature of the 25th<\/sup> anniversary edition of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography CAMERIMAGE<\/strong> will be Downsizing<\/em><\/span>, directed by Alexander Payne<\/strong> and with cinematography by Phedon Papamichael<\/strong>. The special screening will be a part of the grand Opening Gala<\/strong>, and will be introduced by Phedon Papamichael<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/div>\n

A social satire in which a guy realizes he would have a better life if he were to shrink himself. The film stars Matt Damon<\/strong> and Kristen Wiig<\/strong>, with Christoph Waltz<\/strong>, Jason Sudeikis<\/strong>, Hong Chau<\/strong> and Udo Kier <\/strong>in supporting roles.<\/p>\n

The creative team behind Alexander Payne’s<\/strong> Downsizing <\/em><\/span>includes Academy Award\u00ae<\/sup> nominated cinematographer Phedon Papamichael<\/strong> (Walk the Line<\/em><\/span>, Nebraska<\/em><\/span>), Academy Award\u00ae<\/sup> nominated editor Kevin Tent<\/strong> (Election<\/em><\/span>, The Descendants<\/em><\/span>), Golden Globe nominated composer Rolfe Kent<\/strong> (Sideways<\/em><\/span>, Dexter <\/em><\/span>TV series<\/span><\/span>), costume designer Wendy Chuck <\/strong>(About Schmidt<\/span><\/em><\/span>, Spotlight<\/em><\/span>) and production designer Stefania Cella <\/strong>(The Great Beauty<\/em><\/span>, Black Mass<\/em>)<\/span>.<\/div>\n

The premiere Camerimage<\/strong> screening will be held on 11th<\/sup> November in Opera Nova’s Main Screening Room in Bydgoszcz and will be a part of Camerimage 2017 Opening Gala<\/strong>, to which you need an invitation. However, subject to availability of free seats, we will admit holders of festival passes. Downsizing<\/em><\/span> will have its Polish theatrical release on 12th<\/sup> January 2018.
