Macat’s latest project “After the Wedding,” which is screening at Camerimage, serves as a departure from his usual comedic oeuvre. For this remake, he chose to work with ARRI Rental’s ALEXA 65 camera and DNA lenses. One of Macat’s first films as a DP was the holiday blockbuster “Home Alone,” from 1990. Macat still refers to this beloved, modern-day classic as one of his favorite projects to date. During this exclusive master class, Macat will work with ARRI’s ALEXA LF camera and Signature Prime lenses to compose various scenes using the festive backdrop of Christmas. Participants will gain practical insight into the world of large-format image composition and learn some tips and tricks from the master along the way. Macat will be joined on stage by TRINITY operator Charlie Rizek, DIT Arthur To, and 1st AC E. Gunnar Mortensen all who will be adding great value to the session.
