The preparations for\u00a0<\/span>EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span> 2021<\/span>\u00a0are underway. As the COVID-19 situation is slowly changing, we are working remotely but according to plan. Hoping all of you out there stay safe and healthy, and hoping that after one year break we can all meet physically in Torun in November, we are announcing the call for entries and launching the official selection.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 29th edition of\u00a0<\/span>EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span>\u00a0is scheduled to take place 13-20 November<\/strong> in Torun, Poland and all filmmakers, producers and distributors are invited to submit feature films, documentaries, music videos, TV series episodes and student etudes for the festival’s consideration. We are also introducing some changes in our terms and regulations. See more details below.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the numerous out-of-competition festival sections, there will be a number of competitions included in the program.<\/p>\n

We now accept submissions for the following:

\n \u25cf\u00a0Film and Art School Etudes Competition\u00a0<\/strong>(fiction etudes)
\n \u25cf\u00a0Polish Films Competition\u00a0<\/strong>(fiction films)
\n \u25cf\u00a0Documentary Shorts Competition\u00a0<\/strong>– up to 40 minutes running time
\n \u25cf\u00a0Documentary Features Competition\u00a0<\/strong>– over 40 minutes running time
\n \u25cf\u00a0Music Videos Competition<\/strong>\u00a0(official music videos)
\n \u25cf\u00a0Directors’ Debuts Competition\u00a0<\/strong>(fiction films)
\n \u25cf\u00a0Cinematographers’ Debuts Competition<\/strong>\u00a0(fiction films)
\n \u25cf\u00a0TV Series Competition\u00a0<\/strong>(pilots or 1st episodes of consecutive seasons of TV series)<\/span><\/p>\n

There have been three major changes in the terms and regulations of our Festival!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Firstly, from the 29th edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span>, students etudes can be submitted only by film and art schools official representatives. For more information, who can be the school\u2019s representative, please contact Kasjana Wi\u015bniewska at\u00a0kasjana@ecfcamerimage.p<\/a>l<\/span>. Secondly, First Look – TV Pilots Competition has been transformed into TV Series Competition. It means that apart from TV pilots (first episodes of first seasons), the 29th edition of\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival<\/span>\u00a0is open for submissions for the first episodes of subsequent seasons! Last, but not least \u2013 from now on,\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span>\u00a0would like to acknowledge the influence that directors indisputably have on the visual side of competing films. That\u2019s why we will start honoring directors of winning titles with special CAMERIMAGE Statuette awards.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Please note that\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival<\/span>\u00a0is an\u00a0ACADEMY AWARD\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0qualifying festival in the Documentary Short Subject category. This means that the winners of the\u00a0Golden Frog\u00a0in Documentary Shorts Competition will qualify for consideration in the Documentary Short Subject category of the Annual\u00a0ACADEMY AWARDS\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy rules.<\/span><\/p>\n

EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival<\/span>\u00a0has also been named a\u00a0STUDENT ACADEMY AWARD\u00ae\u00a0<\/strong>qualifying festival which means that all films nominated in the Student Etudes Competition at\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE\u00a0<\/span>will qualify for consideration of the\u00a0Student Academy Awards\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0provided the filmmakers will otherwise comply with the Academy Rules, including being a full-time student of an eligible film school and making the film as a part of the school work.<\/p>\n
