As every year, EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span> Film Festival will include in its program a review of short films, focusing on a selected film school. This year our choice fell on the prestigious Parisian institution La F\u00e9mis. The festival audience will have the opportunity to watch early films by such artists as Emmanuel Mouret, Fran\u00e7ois Ozon, L\u00e9a Mysius and Emmanuelle Bercot.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Founded in 1986 and headed by director Michel Hazanavicius, La F\u00e9mis<\/strong> trains more than 50 students each year in 10 filmmaking skills: directing, writing, producing, editing, DoP, sound engineering, production design, continuity supervision, distribution and exhibition. Each year, La F\u00e9mis produces approximately 260 short films, 60 of which are selected and awarded at 100 national and international film festivals.<\/p>\n

La F\u00e9mis<\/strong> has become a filmmaking benchmark in France and abroad, providing an excellent level of training, based on high filmmaking standards, continuous collaboration between different departments and in general, courses balanced between artistic research, professional development and technical training.<\/p>\n

Since La F\u00e9mis<\/strong> was founded, its students have directed more than 2.800 short films, feature films and documentaries. Many of these films are more than mere exercises, some of them are true works of art, containing the seeds of new talent, and which have been selected and awarded at many festivals.<\/p>\n

Graduates who have gone on to become directors include: Emmanuelle Bercot<\/strong>, Claire Burger<\/strong>, Thomas Cailley<\/strong>, Jean-Paul Civeyrac<\/strong>, Samuel Collardey<\/strong>, Antony Cordier<\/strong>, \u00c9milie Deleuze<\/strong>, Arnaud des Palli\u00e8res<\/strong>, Ariane Doublet<\/strong>, Deniz Gamze Erg\u00fcven<\/strong>, No\u00e9mie Lvovsky<\/strong>, Laetitia Masson<\/strong>, L\u00e9a Mysius<\/strong>, Fran\u00e7ois Ozon<\/strong>, C\u00e9line Sciamma<\/strong>, Marina de Van<\/strong>, Rebecca Zlotowski<\/strong> and many others.<\/p>\n

Participants of this year’s edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong><\/span> will have the opportunity to watch 12 short films by former La F\u00e9mis students, carefully chosen by the festival’s selection team.\u00a0The program will include:\u00a0Dis-moi oui, dis-moi non<\/em> <\/span>(dir. Fran\u00e7ois Ozon), Il n ‘y a pas de mal<\/em><\/span> (dir. Emmanuel Mouret), Les Vacances<\/em><\/span> (dir. Emmanuelle Bercot), Forbach<\/em><\/span> (dir. Claire Burger), Bir Damla Su<\/em><\/span> (dir. Deniz Gamze Erg\u00fcven), Les Oiseaux-tonnerre<\/span> (dir. L\u00e9a Mysius) ), Rojda<\/span> <\/em>(dir. C\u00e9line Baril), La ravaudeuse<\/em><\/span> (dir. Simon Filliot) and La terre o\u00f9 je me noie<\/em><\/span> (dir. Negin Khazaee).<\/p>\n

As part of the review, there will also be a seminar on the art of cinematography with a special guest, a graduate of the Parisian school.<\/p>\n
