We are less than a week away from the beginning of the annual celebration of the art of cinematography – the 29th edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival<\/strong> – and we are delighted to announce that yet another brilliant filmmaking duo has decided to present their latest artistic collaboration to the festival’s audience!<\/p>\n

Director\/writer\/producer Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> and cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos<\/strong> will join us in Toru\u0144<\/strong> for the Main Competition screening of Belfast<\/span><\/em>, their poignant story of love, laughter and loss in one boy’s childhood, amid the music and social tumult of the late 1960s.<\/p>\n

Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> is one of the most lauded directors, screenwriters and actors in the world, and has worked with a number of extraordinary cinematographers, yet it was a meeting on the set of 2006\u2019s Sleuth<\/span> <\/em>with Haris Zambarloukos<\/strong> that resulted in the most fruitful director-cinematographer collaboration in his career. Back then, Haris Zambarloukos<\/strong> was an emerging talent of the world of cinematography, being named as one of Variety’s \u201c10 Cinematographers to Watch\u201d but having only a few feature film credits. Together they have infused their innovative films with thousands of memorable images, including Thor<\/span><\/em> (2011), Cinderella<\/span><\/em> (2015), Murder on the Orient Express<\/span><\/em> (2017), and the upcoming Death on the Nil<\/span><\/em>e (2022). In 2017 they have accepted Camerimage Cinematographer \u2013 Director Duo Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

By coming to Toru\u0144 this year Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> and Haris Zambarloukos<\/strong> will join other high-profile director-cinematographer duos who will present their films at EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2021<\/strong>: Denis Villeneuve<\/strong> and Greig Fraser<\/strong> (Dune<\/span><\/em>), Joel Coen<\/strong> and Bruno Delbonnel<\/strong> (The Tragedy of Macbeth<\/em><\/span>), Joe Wright<\/strong> and Seamus McGarvey<\/strong> (Cyrano<\/span><\/em>), Cary Joji Fukunaga<\/strong> and Linus Sandgren<\/strong> (No Time to Die<\/span><\/em>), David Lowery<\/strong> and Andrew Droz Palermo<\/strong> (The Green Knight<\/em><\/span>).<\/p>\n
