Among them, of course, there were also quite a few titles presented at the <span style=\"color: #d29600;\">EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span> <span style=\"color: #d29600;\">Festival<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just like in the case of this year\u2019s American Society of Cinematographers&#8217; awards, two winners of the previous edition of our festival will compete for the Oscar\u00ae for the best cinematography. <strong>Bruno Delbonnel<\/strong> (ASC, AFC), the winner of the Silver Frog for his film <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The Tragedy of Macbeth<\/em><\/span>, has received already his sixth nomination to Academy Award. <strong>Joel Coen\u2019s<\/strong> latest film was the opening piece of the <strong><span style=\"color: #d29600;\">EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span> <span style=\"color: #d29600;\">Festival<\/span><\/strong>, presented to the Toru\u0144 audience by both filmmakers. His competitor this year is <strong>Greig Fraser<\/strong> (ASC, ACS), who received his second Oscar\u00ae nomination for his spectacular cinematography in <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Dune<\/em><\/span>. In November, he won the Bronze Frog for his work on the latest adaptation of Frank Herbert&#8217;s prose, and he visited <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><strong>EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong><\/span> with <strong>Denis Villeneuve<\/strong>, who was honored with the <strong>Special Camerimage Award for Outstanding Director<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The second woman ever nominated for an Oscar\u00ae for the best cinematography was <strong>Ari Wegner<\/strong> (ACS), who personally presented <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The Power of the Dog<\/em><\/span> to participants of our festival. The latest film by <strong>Jane Campion<\/strong> leads the number of this year&#8217;s nominations &#8211; it received twelve of them. <strong>Janusz Kami\u0144ski<\/strong> has also joined the list of nominees for his newest collaboration with <strong>Steven Spielberg<\/strong> &#8211; an adaptation of the hit musical <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>West Side Story<\/em><\/span>. This is the seventh nomination for the Golden Frog winner, who has so far won two Academy Awards for the films <em>Schindler&#8217;s List<\/em> and <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Saving Private Ryan<\/em><\/span>. <strong>Dan Laustsen<\/strong> also has a chance for his first Oscar\u00ae as well for his work on <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Nightmare Alley<\/em> <\/span>directed by <strong>Guillermo Del Toro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The list of Oscar\u00ae nominees in the Best Cinematography category:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bruno Delbonnel<\/strong> (ASC, AFC) \u2013 <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The Tragedy of Macbeth<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Greig Fraser<\/strong> (ASC, ACS) \u2013 <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Dune<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ari Wegner<\/strong> (ACS) \u2013 <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The Power of the Dog<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Janusz Kami\u0144ski<\/strong> \u2013 <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>West Side Story<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dan Laustsen<\/strong> (ASC, DFF) \u2013 <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Nightmare Alley<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Dune<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The Power of the Dog<\/em><\/span>, Oscar\u00ae nominations in the Best Picture category went to two more films screened at <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><strong>EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong><\/span> in 2021: <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>King Richard<\/em> <\/span>(6 nominations in total) and <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Belfast<\/em> <\/span>(7 nominations). With his nominations added this year, <strong>Kenneth Branagh<\/strong> has become an Oscar\u00ae record holder \u2013 over his whole career he has already received nominations in seven different categories.
