The exhibition accompanying last year&#8217;s edition of the <span style=\"color: #d29600;\">EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival<\/span>, has already gathered, despite difficult pandemic times and limitations, over 5,000 viewers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>The hyperrealistic work of the Australian sculptor evokes extreme emotions in the audience, from understanding the humanistic ideas underlying the creation, admiration for the craftsmanship of hybrid figures, to fear of the macabre presented in<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><strong>Piccinini&#8217;s<\/strong><span>\u00a0world. Regardless of the feelings, each visitor walks out of the exhibition space with a reflection on various problems of the modern world resulting from intolerance, the development of science and technology, and environmental pollution. One of the video installations, <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>&#8220;We travel together&#8221;<\/em><\/span>, can be seen at the CoCA for the first time ever. The exhibition <em><span style=\"color: #d29600;\">&#8220;We are!&#8221;<\/span><\/em> is the largest, organized outside Australia, presentation of the work of this outstanding artist. <strong>Patricia Piccinini\u2019s<\/strong> artistic practice is embedded in a firm commitment to environmental and eco-feminist issues. In sensuous, complex works Piccinini investigates how we live and forge relations in an era when the natural and the artificial connect in new ways. Her works involve ethical messages about empathy and care for all the creatures and plants we share this earth with \u2013 and for the still unknown beings that will live among us in the future. Her universe offers dreams and hopes of a future full of loving interspecies kinships and invites us to imagine the world anew.<\/p>\n<p>The curator of the exhibition is <strong>Marek \u017bydowicz<\/strong> &#8211; director of the <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><strong>EnegraCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival<\/strong><\/span>.
