We are thus incredibly excited and honored to announce that during the <strong>30th edition of <span style=\"color: #d29600;\">EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span><\/strong> (<strong>Nov 12-19, 2022<\/strong>) we will have the unique opportunity to welcome an exceptional artist whose gripping and deeply insightful documentaries with a signature cinematic style made him a real force to be reckoned with. Director <strong>Alex Gibney<\/strong>, called \u201c<strong>the most important documentarian of our time<\/strong>\u201d by <em>Esquire Magazine<\/em>, an investigative filmmaker whose oft-controversial films reveal both the ugly and the beautiful sides of the modern world, will join us in Toru\u0144 to accept the <strong>Award for Outstanding Achievements in Documentary Filmmaking<\/strong>. He started his prolific career in the 1980s, crafted his cinematic style throughout the 1990s, and then, in the 2000s, started to capture the international audience\u2019s attention with a series of mind-boggling and eye-opening films. Among them: <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room<\/em><\/span> exposing the greed and corruption of one of the most influential US corporations; Oscar\u00ae-winning <em><span style=\"color: #d29600;\">Taxi to the Dark Side<\/span> <\/em>with a harrowing tale of inhumane practices during the early years of the War in Afghanistan; <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God<\/em><\/span> providing a truly horrifying account of the decades of sexual abuse and pedophilia in the Catholic Church. His<span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em> Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. As in <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Sinatra: All or Nothing at All<\/em><\/span>, or <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The Armstrong Lie<\/em> <\/span>about the notorious road racing cyclist Lance Armstrong.
