Every Twin Peaks<\/span><\/em> fan knows well enough that the latter part of February brings about a symbolic day to honour the iconic production. And not just coincidentally, since the end of February marks the day when Agent Cooper arrives in the fictional town. The TV series captured the imagination of millions of viewers around the world and gained a cult following. This landmark mystery serial drama, which made its debut on the silver screen in 1990s, follows the investigation of the murder of Laura Palmer. Initially, it consisted of only two seasons, but it made a successful comeback with a third one in 2017 to stir up the dust that had not yet settled and electrify the minds of the masses with the uncanny once again.<\/p>\n The late-February commemoration in the form of Twin Peaks<\/em><\/span> Day abounds in marathon-style re-watches of the series, trips to the filming locations, and meet-ups for cherry pie washed down with some \u201cdamn good coffee\u201d, Agent Cooper\u2019s favourites.<\/p>\n The Twin Peaks<\/em><\/span> series\u2019 creator and the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival <\/strong><\/span>share a long history. David Lynch<\/strong> has been our frequent guest, and during his visits, he engaged in promoting the art of cinematography and attended meetings with the fans of his films. In 2002, he received the Award to the Director with Special Visual Sensitivity and the Cinematographer \u2013 Director Duo Award, together with Frederick Elmes<\/strong>. Moreover, a decade later, David Lynch<\/strong> was granted the Lifetime Achievement Award in Directing. Our festival further recognized his artistic works by organizing two comprehensive exhibitions of his art. In 2012, the director\u2019s lithographies were displayed, while in 2017 the exhibition SILENCE AND DYNAMISM was held, which, at the time, constituted the greatest exposition of David Lynch\u2019s<\/strong> works ever.<\/p>\n The American director\u2019s and Marek \u017bydowicz<\/strong>\u2019s<\/strong>, the director of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival<\/strong><\/span>, artistic paths converged in 2006 when founding the World Art Foundation<\/strong> that would aim to organize various cultural events. The Foundation participated, among others, in the creation of the third season of Twin Peaks<\/em><\/span>, which fills us with great delight.<\/p>\n David Lynch, \u201eSilence and Dynamism\u201d exhibition<\/em> Willing to add even more flavour to the doughnut and angel wings extravaganza?
