We have the pleasure to present the official poster that will promote this year\u2019s edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE.<\/span> Piotr Jab\u0142o\u0144ski is once again responsible for its concept which alludes to illustrative traditions of The New Yorker<\/em> magazine, paying homage to the art of filmmaking. This way, the author closes the metaphor of frogs and the comeback of the festival to Toru\u0144 present in his previous creations from the 2019 and 2022 editions and inaugurates a fresh and symbolic story about the proper place of the cinema in the pantheon of art.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When 30 years ago, Marek \u017bydowicz<\/strong>, the founder of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival<\/strong><\/span>, came up with the idea of organizing the event that celebrates the visual aspect of movies, as well as its creators, many filmmakers disbelieved the success of this undertaking. It was claimed that a film image cannot be subjected to the same evaluation criteria as, for example, a painting, which completely deprived it from its artistic expression.<\/p>\n

This skeptical belief, however, turned out to be quite incorrect which is very well reflected in us entering the fourth decade of EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong><\/span> history. Every year, the films presented at the Festival<\/strong> are distinguished by their unique visuals, noticed and appreciated all over the world a lot more often. The conclusions, both from the industry community and cinema fans, are pretty clear: the motion picture definitely can be subjected to the same evaluation criteria as paintings, and compete with them in terms of their composition and impact.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The painters present in the foreground meet at a joint setting to reflect the mood of the observed landscape with the use of various tools and techniques. Regardless of the final result of their work, the art presents a fleeting moment while the camera manages to broaden its frames. The camera\u2019s movement and constant recording of the ongoing life allows us to notice the changes in the frames and interpret them in various ways.<\/p>\n

The compositional premise of the poster does not claim superiority of the film craft over painting, but allows it to take the rightful place among other contemporary arts. They value the worth of artistic expression stemming from the motion picture and indirectly focus on the level of immersion in experiencing the story being told. The cinematographers are becoming fully-fledged artists whose voices should be heard, or rather \u201cnoticed\u201d, which perfectly defines the idea of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival<\/strong>.<\/span> Therefore, we could not imagine a better poster design accompanying this year\u2019s edition.<\/p>\n

The 31st<\/sup> edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE <\/span><\/strong>will be held on November 11-18<\/strong>, 2023<\/strong> in Toru\u0144<\/strong>, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region<\/strong>. The positive energy once again will be provided by the titular and strategic sponsor of the event \u2013 Energa Grupa ORLEN<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Piotr Jab\u0142o\u0144ski <\/strong>[nicponim] \u2013 a graduate of Faculty of Architecture in Bia\u0142ystok. He has worked for Blizzard, Cilvarings\/Wu-Tang Clan, Bungie, Arkane Studios, ArenaNet, Aaron Sims Creative, Wizards of the Coast, DC Comics, Axis Animation, TBWA\/Paris, Games Workshop, PlatigeImage, NetEase Games, Aggressive Tv, Centipede Press, Applibot, Evermotion and many others. Piotr Jab\u0142o\u0144ski<\/strong> is represented by Richard Solomon Artists Representative LLC. This is the fourth time that Piotr Jab\u0142o\u0144ski<\/strong> is cooperating with EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong><\/span> – he also created the festival posters back in 2017, 2019 and in 2022.<\/p>\n
