\n(photo by Ewelina Kaminska)<\/em><\/p>\n\u0141ukasz \u017bal<\/strong> is a very important figure for the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival<\/strong><\/span>. Over the years, he has already participated in our event twelve times, not only as a competitor, but also as a juror and workshop presenter. In 2011, he received the Grand Prix – the Golden Frog in the Documentary Films Competition<\/span> for his cinematography in the film Paparazzi<\/span><\/em>, and three years later our most important award – the Golden Frog in the Main Competition for cinematography<\/span> in Pawe\u0142 Pawlikowski’<\/strong>s film Ida<\/em><\/span>. Four years later, cooperation with the same director on the film Cold War<\/em><\/span> brought him the Silver Frog<\/span>. Therefore, it is not surprising that for over a decade we have been paying close attention to his projects and we are proud to see his subsequent successes in the film business.<\/p>\nThe award that\u00a0\u0141ukasz\u00a0<\/strong>will receive during the\u00a0Toronto Festival<\/strong>\u00a0gala is all the more valuable as it is a distinction for his work on the film\u00a0The\u00a0Zone of Interest<\/em><\/span>, a Polish-British co-production directed by\u00a0Jonathan Glazer<\/strong>.\u00a0The film, set during the Second World War, tells the story of the family life of Rudolf H\u00f6ss, a commander in the Auschwitz camp, which should still be a warning to humanity, especially in the face of the current political situation in the world.<\/p>\nTogether with the entire Festival team, I congratulate the award and believe that in November we will meet in Toru\u0144 during the 31st edition of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival.<\/em><\/span>
