We are less than five weeks away from the beginning of the annual celebration of the art of cinematography – the 31st edition of EnergaCAMERIMAGE International Film Festival<\/span><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The Festival will commence on Saturday, November 11th<\/span>, with an Opening Ceremony followed by a screening of a truly unique motion picture that has already been named one of the major cinematic events of 2023. It gives us an immense pleasure to announce that Yorgos Lanthimos’<\/strong> Poor Things,<\/span><\/em> recently awarded with the Venice Film Festival’s coveted Golden Lion, is going to open EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023<\/span><\/strong> and will be introduced by its Golden Frog-winning cinematographer Robbie Ryan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\nFrom filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos<\/strong> and producer Emma Stone<\/strong> comes the incredible tale and fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter (Stone<\/strong>), a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe<\/strong>). Under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. Hungry for the worldliness she is lacking, Bella runs off with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo<\/strong>), a slick and debauched lawyer, on a whirlwind adventure across the continents. Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation.<\/p>\n

Yorgos Lanthimos<\/strong> and Robbie Ryan<\/strong> have already collaborated on The Favourite<\/span><\/em> which in 2018 was competing for Golden Frog in EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span> Main Competition<\/strong> and was awarded with the Festival’s Audience Award<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\nWe are certain that watching Poor Things<\/span> <\/em>– screened as part of EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023<\/span> Main Competition<\/strong> – will leave you in awe of the effervescent magic of film. We could not imagine a better way to open this year’s edition that will hold many other cinematic treasures.<\/p>\n

Be sure to note that the screening of Poor Things<\/span> <\/em>will be held on November 11th in CKK Jordanki in Toru\u0144<\/span> and will be a part of EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023<\/span> Opening Ceremony<\/strong>, to which you need an invitation. However, subject to availability of free seats, we will admit holders of festival entry cards.<\/p>\n
