We are proud to announce that among the contenders for the ASC Award there are the creators whose films we had the privilege to watch and admire at last year&#8217;s <span style=\"color: #d29600;\">EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023<\/span>.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>In the Theatrical Feature Film category, the nominees include the Silver Frog winner, <strong>Ed Lachman<\/strong>, ASC, for <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>El Conde<\/em><\/span>, as well as the Bronze Frog recipient, <strong>Robbie Ryan<\/strong>, ISC, recognized for his visual mastery in <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The Poor Things<\/em><\/span>. Also competing for the ASC Award are films showcased in the Main Competition: <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Maestro<\/em><\/span> (cinematography by <strong>Matthew Libatique<\/strong>) and <em><span style=\"color: #d29600;\">Killers of the Flower Moon<\/span>\u00a0<\/em>(cinematography by <strong>Rodrigo Prieto<\/strong>), as well as<span style=\"color: #d29600;\"> <em>Oppenheimer<\/em><\/span>, featuring cinematography by <strong>Hoyte van Hoytema<\/strong>, ASC, FSF, NSC. <\/p>\n<p>In the Spotlight Award nomination section, we find the triumphant figure from the <strong>31st EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong>, <strong>Warwick Thornton<\/strong>, director and cinematographer of the acclaimed <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The New Boy<\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.camerimage.pl\/assets\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Warwick-Thornton-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-38379 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.camerimage.pl\/assets\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Warwick-Thornton-835x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"835\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Warwick Thornton at EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023 <\/em><br \/>\n<em>(photo by Maria Kowalska \u00a9CAMERIMAGE)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Special recognition through nominations was also extended to <strong>Cathal Watters<\/strong>, ASC, ISC, for the pilot episode of <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Foundation: In Seldon&#8217;s Shadow<\/em><\/span> (TV Series Competition), <strong>Sam Chiplin<\/strong> for the series <em><span style=\"color: #d29600;\">The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, Part 1: Black Fire Orchid<\/span> <\/em>(TV Series Competition), <strong>Tobias Schliessler<\/strong>, ASC, for <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>All the Light We Cannot See <\/em><\/span>(TV Series Competition), and <strong>Curren Sheldon<\/strong> for the documentary <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>King Coal<\/em><\/span> (Documentary Feature Films Competition). <\/p>\n<p>We extend our warm congratulations to all the nominees!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just a few days ago the nominees for the American Society of Cinematographers Awards were unveiled.
