The BSC Awards were presented on Saturday evening, revealing the best visual productions of 2023 as recognized by the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The official 68th<\/sup> annual BSC Awards ceremony<\/strong> was held on Saturday, February 3rd<\/sup> at the London\u2019s Royal Lancaster Hotel. In a Cinematography in a Feature Film category<\/strong>, the nominees include the EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023<\/strong> Bronze Frog recipient, Robbie Ryan<\/strong>, BSC, ISC, director of photography of Poor Things<\/em><\/span>. Also competing for the BSC Award were cinematographers qualified to our Main Competition: Matthew Libatique<\/strong>, ASC for Maestro<\/em><\/span> and Rodrigo Prieto<\/strong>, ASC, AMC for Killers of the Flower Moon<\/em><\/span> as well as our special screening Saltburn<\/em><\/span>, featuring cinematography by Linus Sandgren<\/strong>, ASC, FSF and Oppenheimer<\/em><\/span> with Hoyte van Hoytema<\/strong>, ASC, FSF, NSC in the role of director of photography.<\/p>\n

Robbie Ryan<\/strong> emerged as the best of the best, receiving an award for his work on Poor Things<\/em><\/span>, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Robbie Ryan<\/strong>, for his work on the set of Poor Things<\/em><\/span>, alongside the BSC Award and the Bronze Frog was additionally honored with the nominations for: the Oscar\u00ae, the BAFTA Film Award, the American Society of Cinematographers Award, as well as Critics\u2019 Choice, and many others.<\/p>\n
