One of them is certainly Cate Blanchett, an Australian film and theatre actress, holder of two Oscars\u00ae, and dedicated member of the arts community. In November, Cate Blanchett will be in Toru\u0144, Poland at the 32nd edition of <span style=\"color: #d29600;\">EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/span>, where she will preside as Jury President for the Main Competition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>Films are lightning in a bottle, and I have had the profound creative privilege of working with some of the great lightning catchers \u2013 cinematographers who have forever changed the way I work and the way I look at the world. To be at CAMERIMAGE in their midst en masse is a fever dream come true.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Cate Blanchett<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Cate is an outstanding artist who defies all definitions. She inspires many people around the world, including the greatest contemporary artists. She is sensitive to the problems of others and ready to help. Her arrival and meeting with the festival guests will undoubtedly be extremely creative. Her versatile skills and commitment to a broad spectrum of artistic activity, producer\u2019s intuition and humanitarian work are as valued as her acting career, which has spanned more than 30 years, and continues to inspire millions around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Many films that <strong>Blanchett<\/strong> has been involved with have figured prominently at <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><strong>EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong><\/span> over the years, including awards winners. She first gained worldwide acclaim for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I in the film <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Elizabeth<\/em><\/span> (1998, dir. <strong>Shekar Kapur<\/strong>), earning her first Oscar\u00ae nomination. For this title <strong>Remi Adefarasin<\/strong> took home the Golden Frog at <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><strong>CAMERIMAGE 1999.<\/strong><\/span> In 2008 she received two Oscar\u00ae nominations, for Best Actress for <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Elizabeth: The Golden Age<\/em><\/span> by <strong>Shekhar Kapur<\/strong> (with whom she collaborated 10 years earlier in <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Elizabeth<\/em><\/span>) and best supporting actress for <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>I\u2019m Not There<\/em><\/span> by <strong>Todd Haynes<\/strong>, a motion picture that earned <strong>Ed Lachman<\/strong> the Bronze Frog at <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><strong>CAMERIMAGE 2007.<\/strong><\/span> <strong>Cate Blanchett<\/strong> was also nominated for her performance in <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>Carol<\/em> <\/span>(2015, dir. <strong>Todd Haynes<\/strong>) and <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>T\u00e1r<\/em><\/span> (2022, dir. <strong>Todd Field<\/strong>), both of which she served as executive producer. The New Boy<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Alongside <strong>Andrew Upton<\/strong> and <strong>Coco Francini<\/strong>, <strong>Blanchett<\/strong> is a co-Founder and Principal of <strong>Dirty Films<\/strong>, the production company behind, among other films, <strong>Warwick Thornton\u2019s<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #d29600;\"><em>The New Boy<\/em><\/span> (which she also appeared in).
