There are only 100 days left until the 32nd edition of the\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE\u00a0<\/span>Festival! This year, we will once again meet in Toru\u0144 in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region, and among the confirmed participants are Cate Blanchett, Edward Lachman, and Steve McQueen. Today, we have another exciting announcement to make. It is our pleasure to present the poster, which will accompany us in the coming months as the symbol of\u00a0EnergaCAMERIAMGE<\/span> 2024. The design concept of this year\u2019s poster was created by Marcin Wolski who used the striking motif of aurora borealis in his work, alluding to the magic and beauty of cinema, which much like the aurora itself, captivates, inspires and leaves a lasting impression.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this design, the aurora borealis taking the shape of a film strip, stretches over\u00a0Toru\u0144<\/strong>\u2019s historical panorama outlined by its infamous Gothic architecture. The aurora\u2019s dynamic, luminous ribbon represents the artistic impact of each film presented at the festival. The motif of aurora borealis seems like an obvious choice, given the nature of the\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Festival. Besides its aesthetic role, the aurora carries hidden meaning, symbolising film as a source of light in the darkness, leading viewers to new discoveries and reflections. The film strip references the technical side of the art of filmmaking, to which the\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Festival is dedicated. This year, the Northern Lights could be observed in\u00a0Toru\u0144\u00a0<\/strong>and the surrounding areas. This luminous phenomenon draws many captivated viewers, just as the\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Festival attracts cinema enthusiasts who are mesmerized by stunning visuals and the play of light. The poster\u2019s main motif thus connects the magic of cinema with the natural beauty of this unique light phenomenon.<\/p>\n

By using this visual element, we want to emphasize that the festival is a place where tradition meets modernity and art meets technology. The Northern Lights are an unpredictable phenomenon, appearing and disappearing without warning, making their observation a unique and rare experience. Films are also an ephemeral experience; even though they can be watched multiple times, each screening is a unique moment in which the viewer experiences the story anew, with emotions and reactions that can change each time<\/em>.\u00a0\u2013 comments\u00a0Marek \u017bydowicz<\/strong>, Director of the\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Festival.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The aurora borealis is created by the solar wind, which is a stream of particles carrying electrical energy. With this year’s poster, we also want to thank Energa<\/strong>, which will once again be the title sponsor of our event and consistently promotes ecological energy solutions.<\/p>\n

It is an honor for us that this year’s poster design pays homage to our sponsor and encourages reflection on the environment and ecology, as well as our current position as humanity. The energy transformation, in which we are all participating, is an extremely important process.\u00a0Energa\u00a0is meeting its challenges and becoming increasingly green. Already, about half of the energy we sell comes from renewable sources. We are expanding our portfolio of projects through which we produce energy from wind and solar power. I am pleased that for the organizers and guests of the\u00a0EnergaCAMERIMAGE\u00a0<\/span>festival, environmental issues are equally important<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 says\u00a0S\u0142awomir Staszak<\/strong>, Acting President of the Management Board of\u00a0Energa SA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a032nd EnergaCAMERIMAGE<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0will take place from November 16-23, 2024, in\u00a0Toru\u0144<\/strong>, in the Kujawy<\/strong> Pomorze<\/strong> region. Its positive energy will once again be provided by\u00a0Energa\u00a0 ORLEN Group<\/strong>, the title and strategic sponsor of the event.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Marcin Wolski<\/strong>\u00a0is an illustrator and graphic artist specializing in creating press and advertising illustrations for clients around the world. He creates colorful illustrations combining simple shapes and a mysterious atmosphere. He has worked for clients such as Apple, New Yorker Magazine, Politico, The Guardian, Science, and many others.<\/p>\n
