Camerimage Film Festival is not only about screenings of feature and documentary films and music videos. All participants can also attend numerous workshops, lectures, exhibitions and meetings with our distinguished guests who come to Bydgoszcz to share their expertise and experiences.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
We would like to remind you that this year’s Camerimage Lifetime Achievement Award will go to\u00a0Chris Menges<\/strong>, British cinematographer with career spanning over 50 years; a trusted collaborator of\u00a0Ken Loach, Stephen Frears, Neil Jordan<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Stephen Daldry<\/strong>, and two-time Oscar winner for his cinematography on\u00a0Roland Joff\u00e9<\/strong>‘s\u00a0The Killing Fields<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Mission<\/span><\/em>. Chris will join us this year as our guest of honour and will meet with Festival audience after selected screenings of his work.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Once again, the Festival program will feature the\u00a0“Remembering the Masters”<\/strong>\u00a0section with tributes paid to the outstanding achievements and remarkable talent of cinematographers who were true cinematic visionaries of the 20th century. This year, we will present a retrospective of the works by Swedish cinematographer\u00a0Gunnar Fischer<\/strong>\u00a0(1910 \u2013 2011), known for his collaboration with the legendary\u00a0Ingmar Bergman<\/strong>\u00a0on such films as\u00a0The Seventh Seal<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Wild Strawberries<\/em><\/span>.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Additionally, we will introduce a new \u2013 and surely destined to be widely popular \u2013 section called\u00a0First Look \u2013 TV Pilots Competition<\/strong>. We are going to screen the freshest and hottest TV titles from around the world. All competition entries will be judged by a professional jury. We also plan to hold several panel discussions with leading showrunners and other industry professionals.<\/div>\n
