In his career he was inspired by the aesthetics of the Italian neorealism and he became a precursor of the new wave of the European cinematography with his camera work on <strong>Tadeusz Konwicki\u2019s <\/strong><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #7e0004\">The Last Day of Summer<\/span><\/em><span> (1958) which he also co-directed. <\/p>\n<p> Laskowski\u2019s other outstanding accomplishments include such titles as <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #7e0004\">Night Train <\/span><\/em><span>by <strong>Jerzy Kawalerowicz<\/strong> (1959), <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #7e0004\">Do widzenia, do jutra <\/span><\/em><span>(1961) by <strong>Janusz Morgenstern<\/strong>, <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #7e0004\">Barrier <\/span><\/em><span>by <strong>Jerzy Skolimowski<\/strong> (1966), <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #7e0004\">A Hole in the Ground <\/span><\/em><span>(1970) and <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #7e0004\">Wniebowzi\u0119ci <\/span><\/em><span>(1973) by <strong>Andrzej Kondratiuk<\/strong>, or <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #7e0004\">What Will You Do When You Catch Me? <\/span><\/em><span>(1978) by <strong>Stanis\u0142aw Bareja<\/strong>. <br \/><!-- [if !supportLineBreakNewLine]--><br \/><!--[endif]--><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12.0pt;text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12.0pt;text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12.0pt;text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12.0pt;text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12.0pt;text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12.0pt;text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is with profound sorrow that we inform that Jan Laskowski, an acclaimed Polish cinematographer passed away.
