The second day of the festival will be packed with interesting screenings and meetings with the filmmakers. The most interesting events will take place in the festival center \u2013 Opera Nova.<\/p>\n
Sunday will begin with the film Wild<\/em>, directed by Jean \u2013 Marc Vall\u00e9e<\/strong> and shot by Yves Belanger<\/strong>, that was qualified to the Main Competition. Also taking part in the competition is the film Trash<\/em>. It tells a story of three Brasilian boys who, by coincidence, engage themselves in a political swindle, which has severe consequences on their lives.\u00a0 After the screening, there will be a press conference with the director \u2013 Stephen Daldry and the cinematographer Adriano Goldman. The filmmakers will answer journalists’ and viewers’ questions. Additionally, the director will receive an Excellence in Directing Award.<\/p>\n The last screening of the Main Competition on Sunday will be Get on Up<\/em>, directed by Tate Taylor<\/strong> and shot by Stephen Goldblatt<\/strong>. The motion picture should appeal especially to the admirers of soul music, as it is a story of a great soul musician \u2013 James Brown.<\/p>\n The Polish Films Competition will open at 12.30pm with screening of the film The Word<\/em> (directed by Anna Kazejak<\/em>, shot by Klaudiusz Dwulit<\/strong>).<\/p>\n One of the most interesting events of the day will be the screening of A Little Chaos<\/em>, shot by Ellen Kuras<\/strong>. After the film there will be a press conference with Alan Rickman<\/strong> – the director of this production. Rickman<\/strong> is best known for his role as professor Snape in Harry Potter saga along with such productions as Robin Hood: The Prince of Thieves<\/em>, Die Hard<\/em>, Love Actually<\/em>, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer<\/em>. He made his director debut with a film The Winter Guest<\/em> in Venice in 1997. Moreover, he won such awards as Golden Globe, BAFTA and Emmy. He arrived to Bydgoszcz not only to promote his newest film, but also to receive Krzysztof Kie\u015blowski Award.<\/p>\n There are also other valuable screenings taking place in Multikino. At 9.15pm Life and Death of Colonel Blimp<\/em> will be shown within the Powell and Pressburger<\/strong> retrospective.
