This year, the organizers of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Plus Camerimage <\/b>have prepared a special treat for the audience. The Prologue of the Festival will feature the premiere screening of W.<\/span><\/i><\/b> – the latest film by director Oliver Stone<\/b> and cinematographer Phedon Papamichael<\/b>. <\/p>\n

The screening will be held on Sunday 23rd November at 5.30 pm in Kino Ba\u0142tyk in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a (20 Narutowicza Street). Oliver Stone<\/b> will attend the screening and Q&A will follow. <\/p>\n

W.<\/span><\/i><\/b> is a film biography of Gorge W. Bush<\/b>, the outgoing President of the USA. According to the director the film was intended to be a true and impartial portrait of the American President. <\/p>\n

Oliver Stone<\/b> is one of the most outstanding American directors and scriptwriters. He won two Best Director Academy Awards for Platoon<\/span><\/i> and Born on the Fourth of July<\/span><\/i> and one for Best Writing for Alan Parker’s Midnight Express<\/span><\/i>. His filmography includes also such films as Salvador<\/span><\/i>, Wall Street<\/span><\/i>, Nixon<\/span><\/i>, JFK<\/span><\/i>, The Doors<\/span><\/i> and Natural Born Killers<\/span><\/i>. Oliver Stone<\/b> visited the Festival before. In 2004 his film Alexander<\/span><\/i> took part in the Main Competition and was awarded Silver Frog<\/b>. <\/p>\n

W.<\/b><\/span><\/i> will also be screened during the 16th edition of Plus Camerimage Festival<\/b> held between 29th November and 6th December. A detailed schedule will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
