The 16th Edition of Plus Camerimage, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography <\/b>is drawing near. There is more and more information about the programme at our website. The upcoming Festival promises very well in terms of the films to be screened, the accompanying event and the invited guests. <\/p>\n

The Award to the Actor with Unique Visual Sensitivity<\/b> is a special award from cinematographers to an actor whose attitude and work greatly contributes to the visual side of a film. This year, the award will be granted to Viggo Mortensen<\/b> who will collect it during the upcoming edition of the Festival.

Isobel Campbell <\/b>and Mark Lanegan<\/b>, the most electrifying, magnetic and sensuous duo of the last decade will give their first and only concert in Poland on November 29th<\/b>. The performance will provide a musical setting for the opening of the 16th Plus Camerimage Festival in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a<\/b>.

French director of photography Pierre Lhomme<\/b> will be granted the Lifetime Achievement Award<\/b>, which is annually presented to outstanding cinematographers whose body of work has greatly contributed to the art of motion picture. Apart from the review of his films, the organisers of Plus Camerimage Film Festival<\/b> have also prepared a special publication as a tribute to this great artist – a book about his life and work.

British director and scriptwriter Sir Alan Parker<\/b> will be granted our Lifetime Achievement Award to the Director with Unique Visual Sensitivity<\/b>. The presentation of the Award will be accompanied by the film review, publication of the book on his life and work, and an exhibition of the stills from his movies and photos from the set taken by different photographers.

Portuguese Cinema Review at Plus Camerimage 2008 is oragnized together with the Portuguese Embassy in Warsaw, Instituto Cam\u00f5es Portugal and Associa\u00e7\u00e3o de Imagem Portuguesa Cinema a Televis\u00e3o.

Two years ago the Organizers of the Plus Camerimage Film Festival <\/b>established a special award which is presented to a production designer. The reason for that was to emphasize the contribution of people who conceive and prepare a set design and then supervise the production. It is our great pleasure to announce that this year, during the 16th edition of PLUS CAMERIMAGE Festival, the Special Award to the Production Designer with Unique Visual Sensitivity<\/b> will be granted to Arthur Max<\/b>, production designer on Gladiator<\/i><\/span>, Se7en<\/i><\/span>, Black Hawk Down<\/i><\/span>, Kingdom of Heaven<\/i><\/span> or American Gangster<\/i><\/span>.
