Tykwer is one of the most interesting German directors, recognized mostly for his award-wining Run, Lola, Run. He has made all his films in co-operation with one cinematographer, Frank Griebe.  <\/p>\n<p> The winner of the Independent Spirit Award and Sundance FF, Tom Tykwer, together with Frank Griebe (a laureate of two German Film Awards, nominated twice to the Camerimage Golden Frog, in 1998 and 2000), constitute an inseparable duo. \u201cWe have known each other for the half of a lifetime. I have never made a movie with any other cinematographer. Frankly, I have no idea what cinematographers not named Frank Griebe do&#8221; &#8211; says Tykwer. They have cooperated since their accidental meeting in Berlin theatre \u201cMoviemento&#8221; (in Kreuzberg), where they had both worked. Their first movie was a short \u201cBecause&#8221; [1990].
