They have worked together since 13 years, when their first film was created. This debut in 1992 was different ten their another productions, because the director had closed scenario. During the creation of others their work of art, Nutley improvised and it was a real difficulty for Jens Fischer. However the cinematographer admired Nutley’s style of working, because it is strongly inspiring for him. The director always worked with constant group pf actors. Rare new faces often had difficulties in getting used to such style of work. What can be interesting, one of the members of the “Queens of the Sheeba’s pearls’s” team was Fischer’s father – Konrad Fischer.

While talking about the cinematographer’s craft, Fischer emphasized the importance of digital technology and modern solutions, because ultimate shape of art depends on post productive modifications. Simultaneously the cinematographer has to predict his results of work on film’s plan. Fischer told also that he would try to diversify his art, he do not want to be: “…a cinematographer who always shots nice pictures of children”.

A very nice surprise for the audience of the conference was the fact, that Fischer did not need the help of translator and he understood some questions in polish language.

The main thread of the conference with Swedish cinematographer was his cooperation with British director – Colin Nutley.
