Each year, at EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival we carefully select a number of feature films, documentaries, student etudes, music videos and TV episodes to be screened at our Festival in one of the competitions or out-of-competition programs.
If you want to submit your work you must select one of the submission categories in the online entry form available through the link below. Our selection committee will receive and carefully consider all entries and decide if your work is accepted and what program section it fits best (competitions or out-of-competition).
Please note we do not screen narrative shorts (only student etudes), animated films, documentary series or commercials.

MAIN COMPETITION
ABOUT: Main Competition has existed since the first edition of the Festival in 1993. From the very beginning, the idea behind the competition has been to present the narrative feature films where the image significantly contributes to a story. The visual value of these films results from the cooperation between a director and a cinematographer and the unusual sensitivity of the author of a film image. The competition emphasizes the enormous contribution of the cinematographer to the film work.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: narrative feature films over 60 minutes / produced in 2023 and 2024
DEADLINE AND FEES: 31st May 2024 (no fee) / 30th June 2024 (late entry fee: PLN 300)
AWARDS: GRAND PRIX – Golden Frog / Silver Frog / Bronze Frog (presented to cinematographers)
CAMERIMAGE Golden Statuette / CAMERIMAGE Silver Statuette / CAMERIMAGE Bronze Statuette (presented to the directors of the winning titles)
FEATURE DEBUTS COMPETITIONS (cinematographers and directors)
ABOUT: Feature Debuts Competitions were initiated in 2010 due to the Festival’s increasing openness to the noteworthy artists and the new film phenomena they create. The selection committee nominates first or second non-documentary feature films made by young directors and cinematographers.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: first or second feature film (over 60 minutes) of the cinematographer or the director / produced in 2023 and 2024
DEADLINE AND FEES: 31st May 2024 (no fee) / 30th June 2024 (late entry fee: PLN 300)
AWARDS: Best Cinematographer’s Debut – Golden Frog (presented to the cinematographer)
Best Director’s Debut – Golden Frog (presented to the director)
POLISH FILMS COMPETITION
ABOUT: Polish Films Competition presents Polish films produced during the last year. The filmmakers have the opportunity to see how their work is received by foreign experts of film art, as well as the international audience. The films are judged by a jury consisting of renowned filmmakers from around the world.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: narrative feature films with a majority share of Polish capital (financial contribution of Polish entities to the production has to exceed 50%) / produced in 2023 and 2024
DEADLINE AND FEES: 31st May 2024 (no fee) / 30th June 2024 (late entry fee: PLN 300)
AWARD: Award for the Best Polish Film – Golden Frog (presented to the cinematographer)
CAMERIMAGE Statuette (presented to the director of the winning title)
FILM AND ART SCHOOL ETUDES COMPETITION
ABOUT: Student Etudes Competition supports the development of novice filmmakers and provides an opportunity to confront the achievements of students from various parts of the world. Several dozen film schools from all over the world submit their best etudes.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: short narrative films not exceeding 35 minutes / produced in 2023 and 2024 / a student status of the cinematographer and director of an etude during its production and postproduction is required; submissions can be made by school representatives only

AWARDS: Laszlo Kovacs Student Award – Golden Tadpole / Silver Tadpole / Bronze Tadpole (presented to cinematographers)
DOCUMENTARY FILMS COMPETITIONS (shorts and features)
ABOUT: The Documentary Films Competitions aim to recognize non-fiction entries as creative interpretations of reality. Emphasizing the visual and aesthetic appeal of their work, the juries award cinematographers of documentary films screened in two separate competitions, for documentary shorts and documentary features.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: documentary shorts and documentary features / produced in 2023 and 2024;

MUSIC VIDEOS COMPETITION
ABOUT: The Music Videos Competition aims to recognize music videos as a form of film art and a field of audiovisual innovation, so important for filmmaking. The best achievements in this field are judged with the emphasis on the visual and aesthetic values of an image.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: music videos that were officially commissioned by a record company (label) or by the artist / produced in 2023 and 2024

TV SERIES COMPETITION
ABOUT: TV Series Competition has been established in recognition of contemporary television artists. Owing to the professional commitment of many established filmmakers we can enjoy more and more visually engaging TV shows that make use of top filmmaking technologies. We provide the television industry with an opportunity to showcase their achievements.
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: the pilot episode of fiction series or miniseries, or the first episode of the consecutive seasons (for multi-season productions) of fiction series or miniseries that have been approved for production / produced in 2023 and 2024
