Join us for an overview of ARRI’s unrivalled collection of color-matched cine lenses, our precision lens mounts, and our popular external FSND filter. Get to know the production benefits behind these products that go beyond visually stunning images.

The new ARRI Signature Prime lenses as well as the new LPL mount, which was specifically designed for full-frame capture, will be focal points of the seminar. ARRI ACADEMY MASTER CLASS

How to master large-format digital capture
with cinematographer James Laxton

American cinematographer James Laxton’s work on “Moonlight” won him a number of accolades in 2017, including the Independent Spirit Award and an Academy Award nomination. “If Beale Street Could Talk” (captured on ALEXA 65 with Prime DNA lenses) – Laxton’s most recent collaboration with director Barry Jenkins – is already poised to be an Academy Awards frontrunner in 2019.

A veteran of large-format digital capture, Laxton will impart his experience and knowledge of translating the script into powerful imagery. By composing specific shots on the ALEXA LF and Signature Primes, Laxton will light, frame, and compose various scenes and explain his techniques and motivation. ARRI LED lighting fixtures will also play a role in creating appropriate day and night scenes for this exclusive training. Through this first-hand tutorial, participants will gain practical insight into the world of large-format image composition.
