CANON SEMINAR – Seminar and Screening of Ember Films' Cinematic Trailer REFUGIUM

Shot with the Canon EOS C700 Full Frame – set to dazzle and to show off the Cinema EOS camera’s on-set capabilities. After the screening will be set Q&A session with director Jonathan Jones, where he will talk about Ember Film’s creative vision for the post-apocalyptic film and how shooting full-frame helped them to make the eerie, suspense-filled and thought-provoking trailer.

CANON SEMINAR – Q&A with Piotr Małecki and Canon team

The short documentary, shot entirely in a verité style, shares an intimate image of friendship and joy of life with a twist of humor. Film was shot on a Canon C100 camera with Canon lenses EF-S 17-55/2.8 IS, EF 50/1.4 and EF 70-200/4.

After the screening Canon moderators will host the Q&A session with Director and DP Piotr Małecki on creative approach and gear preferences.

CANON SEMINAR – Experience with the C700FF on “A Dishful of Dollars” led by Nancy Schreiber, ASC & Tim Smith, Canon USA

Go behind the scenes with DP Nancy Schreiber, ASC, on ‘A Dishful of Dollars’, shot in 4K on Canon’s new EOS C700 Full Frame. Listen to the discussion between Schreiber and Tim Smith on making the film from pre production, production through post. Many features of the EOS C700 FF will be examined, including 5.9K Raw Capture, true anamorphic support with a 4:3 center cut and 2x de-squeeze, faithful skin tones, wide dynamic range, filmic shallow depth of field, and ergonomics of the camera.

After the screening of DISHFUL OF DOLLARS and the behind-the-scenes film at the Los Angeles based shoot, there will be a Q&A with double Sundance Cinematography award-winner Nancy Schreiber, discussing some of her creative thinking and processes.

SEMINARIUM CANON – Students For Students: Warsaw Film School and CANON presents students etudes

The screening of selected etudes by students of the Warsaw Film School will be a great opportunity to talk about how the right tools support the creative process of the cinematographer and how much they enable the realization of the most daring visions of the film.

Warsaw Film School had been active on the market for over 14 years and is currently one of the fastest growing film academies in Europe. We employ highly qualified, professionally active teaching staff of Polish and international filmmakers, we’re constantly improving our infrastructure and investing in our campus. We provide the BA with specialization Cinematography & Post-production in Polish and English. The course prepares future filmmakers for work with variety of cameras, formats, and international crews.
