ENERGA ORLEN GROUP UNITE WITH CAMERIMAGE FOR THE UPCOMING YEARS

We are pleased to announce that Energa ORLEN Group has signed an agreement with the Tumult Foundation regarding the continued joint organization of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival for the three next years! This year’s edition will be held in Toruń, from November 11^th to November 18^th.

The fruitful collaboration of Energa ORLEN Group and the Tumult Foundation has been going on since 2017. This is what Adrianna Sikorska, Vice-President of the Management Board of Energa S.A. for Communication, and Marek Żydowicz, President of the Tumult Foundation and the director of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival, are saying about the prolongation of the agreement:

- Wherever Energa ORLEN Group conducts its business operations, it also supports projects important for the local communities. The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is the place where we are active in this field - says Adrianna Sikorska - We couldn't miss such a remarkable event that enjoys worldwide fame among the projects supported by Energa. For years, EnergaCAMERIMAGE has been associated with our brand, enhancing its value. I am convinced that this year's Festival will once again provide us with incredible experiences, and the biggest stars of world cinema will come to Toruń.

Marek Żydowicz, on the other hand, emphasizes the importance of the support from Energa ORLEN Group, which will enable the further development of the event.

- Energa ORLEN Group and the Tumult Foundation make a perfect match! We work well together, and that's why we will continue our collaboration, organizing the world-renowned Polish film festival - EnergaCAMERIMAGE. There are great challenges ahead of us. Not only more visits from outstanding artists from the world of cinema, screenings of valuable works, workshops, and seminars dedicated to the art of cinematography, but also the work on the construction and creation of the European Film Center CAMERIMAGE in Toruń.

It will be the first European film institution in Poland. In our country, there is no festival center that offers appropriate conditions for professional film screenings, as required for world premieres. There is no place for simultaneous organization of several artistic events, including professional and experimental film screenings, music concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, film technology fairs, educational activities, exhibitions related to the history of cinema, or film and television production. This is precisely what the European Film Center CAMERIMAGE, being built with the support of the Polish Government and the City of Toruń, will provide. 

The organizational stability we achieve for the coming years, thanks to Energa ORLEN Group, will allow us to create a new formula for the Festival and a unique program for the European Film Center CAMERIMAGE, together with outstanding film artists from around the world. Follow EnergaCAMERIMAGE!

There is still plenty of time until November, but the teams from the Tumult Foundation and the European Film Center CAMERIMAGE are already working intensively on the final shape of this year's edition of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival. We are confident that it will be just as exciting as the previous ones, if not more.

Since March, we have been accepting submissions and going through an intensive selection process for the competitions of Polish and international feature films, documentaries, TV series pilots, student etudes, and music videos. We are tirelessly working on non-competition special sections that enrich our program every year. We will organize meetings with prominent filmmakers from around the world, representatives of various professions in the film industry, and a highly popular equipment market. As always, we look forward to welcoming students from film and art schools worldwide. Last year, during the 30^th EnergaCAMERIMAGE, Toruń hosted nearly 650 students representing 148 universities from 43 countries.

The strategic sponsorship collaboration with Energa ORLEN Group ensures financial stability for the Festival and allows us to plan an event that will resonate widely in the film world once again.

Soon, we will officially unveil the latest poster promoting this year's edition. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the first recipients of special awards, including the most prestigious one, the winner of the Golden Frog for The Lifetime Achievement in Cinematography.
